Launceston’s New Year Community Celebration
Now in it’s 5th year, LAFM Countdown 2010 at Aurora Stadium is a family friendly event that offers a range of areas and attractions to entertain every sector of the Launceston region. It relies heavily on the support of event partners and is seen as.
The event has enjoyed steady growth with patron numbers reaching the 10,000 mark at Countdown
09 despite the chilly temperatures.
Countdown is strategically designed to not only benefit the community whilst in operation, but also
supports many community groups in turn delivering an ongoing benefit to the region.
The organising committee are determined to provide an event that relates to the wider community,
breathes innovation, promotes a sense of community, is affordable, maintains an impeccable safety
record and is regarded as a signature event on the Northern Tasmania events calendar.
