New Year on Royal to continue the celebration
The NYCIL committee were extremely passionate about delivering a
fantastic event for the Launceston community and visitors from around
the country to see in the New Year. Despite the inability to continue
this event for reasons given in an earlier press release, we still wish
to ensure that the people of our wonderful city have a place to
celebrate and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display. We believe we
achieved the momentum to show that this is worthwhile and offer our
blessing to the Launceston Festivale Committee Inc who will now deliver
a similar celebration with a similar mission.

In response to community disappointment at the cancellation of
Countdown at Aurora Stadium, the Launceston Festivale Committee Inc has
undertaken to deliver a New Years Eve to the community. New Year on
Royal will also aim to provide “A fun, safe and family friendly
celebration for the community on New Year’s Eve”.
